Day 8 - October 18, 2019

We have to start the day with a picture of this RV Park/golf course. I feel this might be an example of “if you build it...", they may not come.

Then we backtracked south towards Arizona through the “flat lands”, through the National Forest with juniper more plentiful then I’ve ever seen. After reaching 7000 feet elevation we were in pines. This drive looks a lot like home.

The Grand Canyon North Rim is as spectacular as we expected. We walked one of the trails to a view point and it was well worth it, although I didn’t really enjoy the trail that went straight down on one or the other or both sides. Beautiful!!

While we were walking the trail Madelyn called (so I had to sit). She shared her news, she is an official home owner! Congratulations babe, we are so proud of you😘

Leaving the North Rim we traveled on into Arizona. What beautiful scenery following the Vermillion Cliffs,

Tonight we are in Tuba City, Arizona. We have not decided which way to go from here.. it’ll give us something to decide in the morning.

My heart is heavy for my sister, Cindy. She fell and broke her hip yesterday and had surgery today. Please remember her in your prayers.

  1. Kind of makes me homesick (that's kind of weird). So sorry to hear about Cindy, hope all goes well for her.
