Day 2 - October 12, 2019
The low of 21 deg last night gave Wilbur's furnace a good workout, but today was a beautiful day for driving. We left Vale and headed south following the route of the Oregon Trail.
The Keeney Historic Site is located between Vale and Adrian and is a great place to see the original wagon ruts.
Wilbur likes to avoid freeways whenever possible, so we followed Idaho 78 along the Snake River and had lunch at the Cove Recreation Site near Bruneau.
Our original plan was to spend the night in the Twin Falls area, but we decided to head South, so tonight's rest is in the thriving town of Jackpot, NV.
